The handles of the cooker are designed with safety interlock would prevent the cooker to be pressurized if the ild not properly closed. It also prevents the operating of the lid until pressure has subsided.
The lid of the cooker is designed with a pressure realease opening. Under extreme abnormal situation, this opnening allows the sealing ring to be pushed out from its sealing position, thus realease pressure in the cooker.
